HELP SGC BUILD THE CAPABILITY

Fund the equipment.
Sustain the care.

We’re raising support for the practical resources that make an owner-approved site plan possible. Priorities are developed around each property’s needs and the funds and partners available.

01

Cameras & recording equipment

Cameras, mounts, recording and storage equipment, power and connectivity, installation supplies and ongoing upkeep. Authorized viewing and notification arrangements are agreed with each owner.

02

Fencing, gates & access

Fencing, gates, locks, bollards, appropriate lighting and signage, plus materials to repair vulnerable boundaries while respecting historic features and visitor access.

03

Site inspections & records

Transport, communications, field equipment and documentation tools for scheduled and random site inspections. Visits focus on visible conditions, damage, dumping and maintenance needs within agreed access arrangements.

04

Continuing maintenance

Tools, protective equipment, replacement parts, training and follow-up work so that cameras, fences, gates and grounds continue to receive attention after installation or cleanup.

Give funds. Offer equipment. Support a site.

All fundraising and equipment offers are coordinated through Silent Grounds Collective. Contact SGC about supporting a particular site or funding priority so we can confirm needs, compatibility and the intended use.

OBSERVE. DOCUMENT. FOLLOW UP.

Scheduled visits.
Random site inspections.

A continuing care plan can combine scheduled visits with inspections at varying times, agreed with the owner. Findings become clear records and practical next steps.

Check the site

Inspect gates, fencing, camera equipment, entrances, grounds and visible property conditions. Note storm damage, unauthorized dumping, access concerns and maintenance issues.

Record what changed

Take condition photographs, record observations and equipment faults, maintain inspection logs and document incidents for the designated site contact.

Coordinate the follow-up

Notify agreed contacts, prioritize repairs and coordinate approved work. Site checks focus on observation, documentation and notification without physical enforcement.

Inspection frequency, access, camera responsibilities, notification contacts, staffing and ongoing costs are defined in the agreed site plan.

THE FULL SITE-CARE SCOPE

One service area.
A plan for the whole place.

The former Integrated Site Services scope is brought together here under New Haven Trail Company. Expand an area to see the proposed work.

Historic preservation

Documentation, historical research, and preservation planning to help owners understand what matters before work begins.

  • Site and historic-feature inventories
  • Photographic condition records
  • Preservation priorities and specialist coordination

Technical conservation would be scoped with qualified specialists.

Cemetery & memorial care

Proposed grounds stewardship and documentation for cemeteries, memorials, and burial landscapes, developed with the owner or authorized steward.

  • Selective vegetation and leaf clearing
  • Marker photography and condition inventories
  • Burial research and continuing care plans

Stone repair, resetting, and treatment require specific authorization and qualified expertise.

Grounds management

Planned routine maintenance for historic grounds, institutional properties, and community landscapes, with methods suited to each site.

  • Mowing, edging, and appropriate trimming
  • Seasonal leaf and litter cleanup
  • Recurring maintenance schedules and condition checks

Availability and equipment would be confirmed for each scope.

Land & site restoration

Phased cleanup and stewardship planning for overgrown land, existing trails, and neglected sites, while protecting historic and natural features.

  • Selective brush and vegetation clearing
  • Authorized nonhazardous debris removal
  • Existing-path care and restoration priorities

Excavation, demolition, and hazardous-material remediation are outside this proposed scope.

Historic property rehabilitation

Support for evaluating historic properties, organizing phased rehabilitation plans, and coordinating appropriate preservation and trade expertise.

  • Visual condition documentation
  • Approved material inventories and salvage planning
  • Rehabilitation priorities and specialist coordination

Structural repairs and regulated trade work would require appropriately qualified professionals.

Environmental stewardship

Proposed community and property stewardship that connects practical cleanup with responsible care for the surrounding environment.

  • Litter and authorized debris collection
  • Vegetation-management planning
  • Habitat-sensitive work plans and follow-up records

Wetlands, waterways, contaminated areas, and specialized treatments require separate review.

Site assessments & project management

Practical condition assessments and project coordination to define priorities, responsibilities, documentation, and the next steps for site care.

  • Baseline photographs and site inventories
  • Phased scopes, schedules, and resource planning
  • Progress records and maintenance handover

This proposed service does not represent licensed engineering, surveying, or architectural services.

Municipal & commercial site services

Proposed site-care partnerships for municipalities, institutions, and commercial property owners, developed around the needs of each property.

  • Parks, common areas, and grounds care
  • Seasonal cleanup and site-maintenance plans
  • Defined work scopes and reporting

Any engagement would require confirmed readiness, funding, authorization, and agreed terms.

DEVELOPING FIELD CAPABILITIES

Aerial documentation.
Prepared volunteers.

SGC’s drone donation and pilot training program supports the development of authorized aerial condition records, perimeter observations and damage assessments. Proposed search-and-rescue support will develop through training and partnerships. Equipment, qualified operators and operating arrangements must be in place before deployment.
